For applications where pumping sensitive or difficult fluids is involved, the peristaltic pump provides the ideal solution. Fluid passing through the tubing never comes into contact with the moving parts of the pump. Contamination of the fluid and damage to the pump components due to spillage can be avoided. The Ratek variable speed Peristaltic dispensing pump is designed for manual filling of vials or containers. For larger volumes or for transferring fluids between containers the pump can be set to run continuously, or for smaller volumes the pump can be controlled via the foot switch. The standard PP4 is supplied with a high flow 3 roller pump head, a 4 roller low pulse head is available as an option. The low pulse head provides higher accuracy and reduced pulsing but at reduced flow rates. The pump heads are interchangeable and can be fitted or removed without tools.
A range of tubing diameters can be used with a wall thickness of 1.6mm. Using silicone tubing with 6.4mm internal diameter flow rates of between 120 and 1400 ml/min. can be achieved with the  3 roller pump head.
